Astraware Boardgames Released For S60 & UIQ
I have been waiting for it eagerly myself for a while now, since Astraware first announced it was developing for UIQ then started looking for S60 and UIQ beta testers. Well, it’s finally here. Astraware has just announced its first S60 and UIQ game, and it’s not one game, but an 8-pack of boardgames, titled Astraware Boardgames and retailing for 19.95$. The pack includes Chess, Backgammon, Ludo, Checkers, Reversi, Nine Men’s Morris, Snakes and Ladders, and Tic Tac Toe.

Clicking over to the S60 tab on Astraware’s site, you can see that they are also working on a Symbian version of their bestseller Hidden Expedition: Titanic, as well as a new game called Platypus. This is great news for Symbian as we finally get to try some seriously advanced and wonderfully constructed games on our devices. I am pretty sure Boardgames is the first in a long long list of games in development by Astraware and I can only hope that they join the N-gage platform. Well, I’ve already wished for them to develop for S60 and it came true, so why not take it up a notch?
