A week late, with my tremendous apologies, I bring you episode 31 of Driving with the Guru. As promised, Rita, aka Dotsisx, is hosting, as this episode was planned to air last week while I was on my honeymoon (it’s my fault it didn’t, not Rita’s). Anyways, Rita does an excellent job, showing off the video recording capabilities of the Nokia N93i versus the venerable Nokia N95.

She also has some Ngage thoughts and a few other topics, so grab a cup of coffee and sit back to enjoy! Remember, you can view this video here on this post, as well as on the Symbian-Guru.com homepage, bottom-center. The Symbian-Guru OPML file is also an easy way to subscribe to the podcast (along with several other mobile and tech-related podcasts) in your podcatching software of choice.

  1. the volume on the n93 is weak…you can tell instantly whn she switches phones

  2. Nice work done by RITA, she did some good efforts to present Nokia N93 and also has some domain knowledge of mobile devices. Thanks for the updates about CTIA.

  3. You don’t need to get the N-Gage games with zip files, they can be downloaded straight into the phone’s N-Gage application over wi-fi or the phone network. It’s no more difficult than downloading a ringtone, wallpaper or java game.

  4. dave,
I do agree with you. I noticed that when i watched the videos later on the pc. I had never done a simultaneous recording in the same conditions on both devices, so this was my first time putting them head to head. I also have to say that although the n93i has the same resolution, the picture from the .mp4 file on the pc looked blurrier than the n95 and less colorful.

    Skhan,
    lol and thanx

    krisse,
i know that, but for some people who don’t have wifi available everywhere and no 3G (aka all of the developing countries, like where I live), downloading straight to the phone IS an ISSUE. If you download the game over the pc, you will get a zip, extract to a exe and then run to download the .sis . Now tell me that is very easy to do, and tell me they couldn’t have given us the .sis immediately when you download.
