Thanks Guru, and just to clarify, all she requires is a way to transmit her voice over the music playing from her N95. Text is not necessary as there is no video requirement. So for her being untethered and handsfree and able to issue dance moves from a bluetooth headset or microphone to a tethered N95 to amplified speakers is the ultimate aim.

The goal is to keep the kit to a minimum. Just found a great amplified bluetooth speaker so it would be best if the N95 could carried by her so she can control the music whilst the microphone in the phone or the Motorola Sound Pilot microphone could be utilized (being A2DP capeable). So what is missing is software that will permit music and voice to be played to phone speaker or bluetooth speakers and that has independant volume control to adjust both music and voice and the ability to play most common music formats.

Another technical possibility is to untether the N95 from conventional amplified speakers and connect to amplified speakers via Bluetooth like the ‘Supertooth Disco Bluetooth Stereo Speaker’ which is A2DP compliant and would give my lovely friend complete control from her hip pocket (whereever she would carry her N95). Just thought i’d throw that into the mix (get it?) as i would love to solve this for her.

Just so you know, LCG Jukeboxes media player supports timed-subtitles, so via TV-Out its a relatively capable karaoke alternative too….
