Michael Coffey has just posted a beta of Mobbler, an S603rd Edition client that will scrobble your played music to your Last.fm account. The beta now has a very easy and simple interface where you only enter your username and password, then connect, and leave it running in the background. You can then launch your music player and let Mobbler do all the job. I have it now running on my N95-1 and it seems to function well. The good thing is that Mobbler will also remember the music you played even if it’s not connected and then once you connect, it will scrobble it all.
We have already alerted you to Aspyplayer, another client for S60 3rd devices that allows scrobbling the tracks. Unlike Aspyplayer, Mobbler is a native S60 3rd software and runs without Python, it is also signed. To anyone who doesn’t bother with the everlasting struggles of SymbianSigned, this is the perfect solution.
As Ricky already pointed it when Aspyplayer was available, we would seriously like to see a true last.fm client for S60 3rd Edition, with the ability to interact with friends, tag artists, search for music, and all the other cool features that last.fm offers.
For now, you can download Mobbler and report to Michael if you have any issues with it.
