Mobbler, Scrobble Your Heart Away
Michael Coffey has just posted a beta of Mobbler, an S603rd Edition client that will scrobble your played music to your Last.fm account. The beta now has a very easy and simple interface where you only enter your username and password, then connect, and leave it running in the background. You can then launch your music player and let Mobbler do all the job. I have it now running on my N95-1 and it seems to function well. The good thing is that Mobbler will also remember the music you played even if it’s not connected and then once you connect, it will scrobble it all.
We have already alerted you to Aspyplayer, another client for S60 3rd devices that allows scrobbling the tracks. Unlike Aspyplayer, Mobbler is a native S60 3rd software and runs without Python, it is also signed. To anyone who doesn’t bother with the everlasting struggles of SymbianSigned, this is the perfect solution.
As Ricky already pointed it when Aspyplayer was available, we would seriously like to see a true last.fm client for S60 3rd Edition, with the ability to interact with friends, tag artists, search for music, and all the other cool features that last.fm offers.
For now, you can download Mobbler and report to Michael if you have any issues with it.

Can’t get the damn thing to install
What? Why? It installed in a second on my n95 :s

Awesome! We’ve been waiting a long time for somebody to bring Last.FM support to S60 natively. I tried Mobbler on my N82 and it works!
But there’s a bug with it. When long press Application Key while Mobbler is running, fast swap menu does not display. If you get stuck with it causing the UI to hang, Just press red key to stop the hanging.

[...] The music information is then published on the map that shows in the various SportsTracker widgets, allowing others to see what it is that’s motivating you to speed up, or slow down, during your routine. The feature is in testing, so some of the UI enhancements are not yet present, and obviously the information isn’t passed along to Last.FM, which I’m sure is the first thing you guys’ll want to know (though if that’s a concern, you should be using Mobbler already). [...] So, as we all know, Handy Taskman is, in my opinion, hands-down the greatest S60 application on the planet. I realize that’s a big statement, but I believe it wholeheartedly. This may leave you wondering, ‘Well then, Guru, what’s the 2nd greatest?’ I’m glad you asked. It’s Mobbler. [...]
Amazing application, wouldn’t mind the programmer adding the usual love/ban button, but that’s my only complaint.
I can’t scrobble tracks with this thingy!!
