Nokia Music Store En Francais
Better late than never, Nokia announced a few days ago that the Nokia Music Store is now alive and kicking in ‘en Francais’, with single tracks available for 1 EUR and albums ringing up at 10 EUR, next to the optional 10 EUR unlimited streaming feature. There’s 2.5 million tracks in there, along with a decent selection of local music, as well.
I commented over at the Nokia Conversations site about this, but local music is going to be a crucial key to the digital music ‘revolution’ that’s taking over the mobile industry. Most people that I know aren’t too interested in the major players, and if you are, there’s always FM radio, guaranteed to play ‘the hits’ over and over again, ad nauseum.
However, when you want fresh, new, local music, where do you go? Right now, that’s hard to say. It’d be cool if Nokia could say ‘why, in our store, of course.’
Remember that the Nokia Music Store currently is only available using Internet Explorer. However, PC FireFox users can install the IE Tab extension to trick the store into thinking they’re using Internet Explorer. This is a problem that the elusive Nokia Desktop Music Application should solve (since it’s not based in your browser).

Apparently also in Singapore now.
