Nokia N78 Coming In White
Wow, SymbianFrance.com is on a roll lately! First we had the video demo of the N78’s FM transmitter this morning, and then I see that they’ve found that Nokia Spain is boasting an unannounced white version of the N78, already listed for sale! Price is 419 EUR (US$653), which is a bit outrageous, but I have to confess it looks pretty good.
The N78 was announced earlier this year, and the pricing was previously set at EUR 350 (US$510), so this is quite a price premium for the white version EDIT: the black version is the same price. I wonder why the price premium, straight from Nokia?. What do you think, is the white version better looking than the black version? You all know what I’m waiting for, right? The camo version, obviously.

Looking great, but this colour is not premium priced because the black version is also 419 euro in the site you gave.
From that picture you can’t tell the difference between a N82 and a N78.
Fake.
I assure you there is no white N78 comming before winter.

What is this then?http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh3/josesxi/RedBullCar.jpg
the official nseries website had the white listed for quite a bit.. but the pictures show only the back and not the front.. so guess it isnt very big news..
is that a camera in front for vdo calling/
The price listed on the site is “IVA incluido”, or “including VAT”, prices in consumer outlets in Europe generally are listed that way. The announced price of €350 is “before local taxes and subsidies”. VAT in Spain being @ 16%, there’s premium of €13 ($20). There’s also note that neither color is not ready to ship yet.
The announced 350€ price is without taxes. If you sum a 16% VAT to 350 you end up with 406€ that is near the 419€ you see on the web (taxes included). Also here in Spain we have a 16% VAT but in other european countries this same tax pass 20% so perhaps nokia uses some kind of “unified” price or simply their shop is a bit expensive to not compete with the big amount of resellers they have.
