Oh, don't get me wrong... the N95-3 is STILL a great device, even without any firmware improvements. I just feel that the device's poor treatment is indicative of Nokia's continued lack of commitment to the NAM market, and that really makes me less inclined to buy another Nokia device in the future.

There are a lot of new features we're missing in the N95-3, but I could live without those. My biggest complaint with the device is (and always has been) the camera speed, which is fixed in the firmware that we seemingly won't ever get.

Interestingly enough Apple has been updating firmware on the iPhone on a regular basis. Nor does it wipe your data during the update.

Nokia must be a great place to work - near isolation from the customer except when it's convenient to bring them in and spread the word. I'm about ready to heave my N75 in the trash. I knew it wasn't the best S60 device around but I didn't expect how unstable it is.

I wish Nokia would update the N95-3. Such a great device only to be tossed aside like yesterday's newspaper.

fuck Nokia... as far as I'm concerned they can eventually die like Motorola as Apple and Android devices inevitably surpass Symbian by a longshot. I'm absolutely pissed at buying a N95-3 with no updates.

I now reset my phone, restored everything *except* settings via PC Suite and reinstalled the applications. Now it works for me.

Downside is I lost the URLs in the podcast application and some application settings, but nothing critical to me.

hyperkind>ther is a new version of NSU software, install an euro version, (uk english for example) ther ir an error with this last NSU version, befro yoi install it, make this correction found on nokia forums :
"error when trying to run software updater - turned out to be corrupt repository:

To fix a corrupted WMI repository, you have to reinstall WMI. Follow these steps:
For Windows XP Service Pack 2
Click Start, Run and type the following command:
rundll32 wbemupgd, UpgradeRepository
This command is used to detect and repair a corrupted WMI Repository.
The results are stored in the setup.log
(%windir%\system32\wbem\logs\setup.log) file."

Another Stefan>that just the same behaviour that i have before this upgrade, but i see its nothing to do with ram memory amount, but with the phone memory its another history, below the 40 mb this msg appears specialy if you use "help", look after the firmware for that applications that, in apparience are installed but don't work (that i called "ghost" apps), before any reset or reinstalation, because in any of them, the ghost app appears again!! it was a nightmare for me , take almost a week to notice that behaviour.
