Shoot’Em Up With Your S60 Handset

Gaming on S60 has come a long way, nearly to the level that PC games were in the nineties. That’s right, ladies and gentlemen. You can now play Quake II or Wolfenstein 3D on your S60v3, in addition to the original Quake, as we’ve reported before. Both games require that you have the original data files, so you’ll need to have either bought the game back in the day, found the shareware, or however else you plan to get these files.

Quake II quite a few steps to get things installed, and really only works on the N95 and other FPU handsets. You can get the full on instructions here, it’s quite easy, just read the steps before you attempt, and be ready to connect your phone to your computer via data cable.

Wolfenstein also requires the original data files, but is a much cleaner installation. Simply head over to My-Symbian.com for the download and then stick those original data files anywhere on your memory card. When you first load the game, it’ll ask where you stuck your data file, so it’s nice and easy.
