Sling Player Updated To V1.01 For Symbian
SlingMedia has updated its SlingPlayer Mobile client for Symbian S60v3 handsets, upping it to v1.01. I’ve not seen many changes personally, but apparently there are some performance updates, as well as stability improvements on certain handsets. The N95 8GB is now officially supported, and there are more icons for the favorite channels function.
I’ve recently set my SlingBox back up and have really been enjoying it on my N95-3, admittedly around the house. It’s nice to have access without being limited to where I can see my TV from, and the quality, both audio and video, is really good.
N95 owners in the U.S. should still be able to get a free copy of the mobile application through the Download! app, though I don’t think it’s the latest version (upgrades are free). Previously I was notified of updates when I ran the mobile client, but this time I had to go hunting for the download link, which is available here. Non-American N95 owners, along with other handsets are going to have to cough up $30 for the software.
I want to know where the N8×0 Internet Tablet client is, personally.
