The Ultimate Guide To Quake

The Ultimate Guide To Quake

Ewan at AllAboutSymbian has posted today the ultimate guide to running Quake on your Symbian device. Ewan covers the whole process from scratch. He explains how to get your hands on the data files of Quake and the recent Quake II as well as the specific S60 engine and how to listen to your own tunes while playing the game. Ewan also gives a couple of explanations for the phone keypad shortcuts, but he points out that the game is a “faithful reproduction” of Quake. This means that the game uses the same gameplay as on the computer, which means that the advanced levels are hard to play because it assumes you have a mouse at hand. A mobile adapted version of the game would be perfect.

When it comes to me, ever since I tried Mirage Money and MosKillTo, I have been aching for some shooter game that only uses the accelerometer to point at the enemy.  This could be so much more fun and challenging than traditional shooter games, don’t you think?
