HOT: Nokia Sports Tracker Updated To Include Video
The Nokia SportsTracker application has received a quiet upgrade to v1.76, adding several small bugfixes and tweaks, as well as the new ability to add videos to a ‘workout’, which, like photos, are uploaded along the trail, so that you can easily show off where you’ve been. The Nokia Sports Tracker application uses GPS to track your movements, including things such as elevation and speed. Previous updates included the ability to snap photos along the way and upload them to a map, so that you can go back later online and check out photos of where you’ve been.
The Nokia Sports Tracker Beta site allows you to create an account for free and upload your ‘workouts’ straight from your phone, so that you can compare with others, and share a link to your travels. The Nseries Urbanista Diaries program used this to share where the Urbanistas were as they created their story.
With this new addition, I’m going to go on the record saying that Nokia Sports Tracker needs a name change – BADLY. What started out as a workout tool has very quickly become a tool for world travelers looking to share their travels, and the name should reflect that.
