Hey Ricky. I’m sorry if you consider this comment to be spam and would understand if you delete it. But I figured it’s relevant to your post. It’s funny that you bring this up. A few days ago, I put myself to the challenge of shelving my N95 for 24 hours and see if the N-Gage QD could still suffice as my daily use phone. And one of the things I found to still be awesome was the experience of getting to play Tony Hawk on it. I forgot how fun it was on that phone. Feel free to check it out if you want at http://www.obstaclescankill.com/2008/05/16/from-the-cellular-vault-my-24-hours-with-the-nokia-n-gage-qd/

Once again, I apologize if you don’t want external links posted in your comments.

As you mentioned without a doubt Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Tomb Raider and Sonic N (Those I bought)

Others would include games such as
Pandemonium, Super Monkey Ball, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell and The Sims.

But mostly all of the mentioned games are available either as java midlets or as symbian games e.g. Tomb Raider: Legend

I think that it would be more interesting to see some new games, but of course the best from the old is always welcomed.

@Eric – no problem with your link. It’s definitely an interesting read, and afterall, linking is how you discover other stuff to read, right? :)

For me, Tony Hawk was THE game on n-gage (time to dig it out again now i guess, thx for that). BUT, i dont really would like to see it again on the n-gage platform. To be true i´m already bored with the games they bring us for now. All of the titles are either available as java games for ages or they are just remakes or ports of the old n-gage games. What i miss is something new. I don´t want to have a fifth part of fifa and i don´t want a seventh part of Asphalt Urban GT, though those are really great games and i love(d) them to play on whatever device. But if the new n-gage really wants to be successful i think they have to come up with something new. Who wants to pay $7 for a Block Breaker game just because it is n-gage when you can have the same game as Java version for $4 from your service provider portal.

I really believe if Nokia doesn´t go new ways, the new N-gage platform will fail as the old did. And that would be very sad as it has high potential.

@None of your business – you know what, that’s a fascinating perspective. I think, like others, that Snakes Subsonic will bring quite a bit to the table, but you’re correct that alot of the titles being brought out currently are already offered as cheaper Java versions, and most people are finding the N-Gage app itself to be rather unstable (it crashes my black N82 quite a bit).

It´s really unstable on N82? That´s quite funny as i also had trouble with it on my girlfriends N81 8gb. BUT i don´t have any trouble using, downloading games and playing them on my hacked e65. Nokia will go its way and bring something good, like the new announced one (i don´t remember the name though) which is rather promising. But then again, if they need to hype a game long before releasing, maybe it isn´t good at all. ;-)
