S60 Applications Roundup
One of the great things about the S60 community is that there are always new applications coming from developers big and small, and there’s sure to be at least one that you’ll find incredibly useful. The bad thing about that, as a blogger, is that it can be impossible to keep up with them all, making sure that readers are notified of a new application.
Thus, I’m breaking typical Symbian-Guru practice here, and posting an application roundup. All the most recent applications that I can find, in a single post, so you can quickly and easily see if there’s something you like.
First up, Guardian for S60v3, from Marco Bellino. Vaibhav Sharma over at The Symbian Blog gave it an incredibly detailed review, so check that out. The application works in the background on your phone to give you a bit more control, should someone ever steal your handset, or you simply misplace it. Guardian can remotely lock the phone down, report the current GPS location, and many more features.
Next up is AfterCall, by the other SymbianGuru. I’ll be playing with this application over the next few days, but basically AfterCall lets you take action after you end a phone call by adding a calendar entry or jotting down a note on your phone. The trial is free for 10 days, and the full version is only $10, definitely worth a look.
HeroCraft is at it again, with their latest game, Hexxagon Labs. AllAboutSymbian took a good hard look at this fun new game and walked away rather impressed. A bit like Othello, Hexxagon Labs is a marble-type game where users try to cover the whole board by moving their marbles into adjacent spots. You can download a free trial, but the full game will only cost you $11, which isn’t bad.
Zabidoo is a new one that I’ve not heard of, but aims to make it easier for you to find mobile web content. The downloadable client allows you to access a huge collection of mobile websites without bothering with typing in URLs, using a clickable format to organize things. We’ve not tested Zabidoo out for ourselves, but it looks to be a cool solution. Also, since it’s JAVA, Zabidoo is something you can pass along to your friends easily, even if they don’t have an S60 handset.

Zabidoo say I’m sorry that number is not recognised as a valid UK mobile number So unless you live in the UK its a no go
