As you know, I’ve been using the Nokia E90 for a few weeks now, as I wanted to check out the Eseries flagship versus the Nseries flagship (I still believe that the N95 is the Nseries flagship, even over the N82). You’ve already read about the things that I love and the things that I hate about the E90, and you know that I’m a huge fan of my N95-3, especially with HSDPA.
However, the E90′s dual-keyboard form factor has always appealed to me, specifically as I’m using my phone for email and IM more and more these days. So which flagship is the best?
Honestly, I would say if the E90 had US 3G, I would likely keep it over the N95-3. Shock, horror, I know. I’m an Nseries man at heart, but I think that the camera, save for the button nonsense, is enough to hold me over. The E90′s keyboard and display is far superior to the N95-3.
Both flagships offer built-in GPS, and automatic geotagging of photos (thanks to the Location Tagger app from the Nokia Beta Labs), WiFi, and A2DP. Both also feature a microSD card slot and WiFi support, as well. The ginormous size of the E90 is easily offset by the internal keyboard, and already I was able to use the built-in Office Suite to recreate a Powerpoint presentation on the fly.
However, since the E90 is not available in a U.S. 3G variant, I’m sticking with my N95-3 for the most part, as the superior flagship. If you’re in any part of the world where the E90′s HSDPA 3G frequency works, I have to say it is by far the more all-around package.
What do you think? Am I wrong? Am I a traitor for speaking out against my beloved Nseries?
