I’m afraid my n95-1 runs at around 200Mhz, not 400 as you mentioned. Please correct me if I’m wrong in assuming all other n95 models also run at 200 mhz. Nice article, btw. Cheers!

N95 processors are ARM 11 processors clocked at 332 MHz, according to Forum Nokia.

there are apps which will detect the speed too. It is 333mhz, it underclocks to 332, lots of procs do in various systems (actual compuers, tablets, mid, etc….) and it will realtime change the clockspeed depending on what you are doing at the time.. i think the variable range is 100-332mhz….this variable part is added to new fw…v20+ on -1, and i think v15+ for -2, and 20 for -3.. not sure about -4, although it probably is in there from the start.

thx for the clarification Mike and Sandy, I honestly never bothered with the processor speed and those numbers :) what matters is usability and that it is actually fast in my hand when i work on it

I just tested sending an email over WLAN on a phone call also. No problem whatsoever. I don’t know what this reviewer is doing, but I’m starting to question his credibility.

Oh, and I don’t know where my comment went earlier, but I just wrote a new article in regards to this piece of the review. In short, the S60 browser supports HTML email out of the box and no one knows about it. Check out my blog to see what I’m talking about.

Jonny, I know that S60 supports HTML email, but apparently Serko hasn’t found out about it yet. We gotta give the newcomers some time to adapt ;)

I think the bit about sending email over WLAN was ‘during a cellular call’.

Nice review, a bit late considering the iPhone 3G announcement was days away but I look forward to reading the updated review when you get a new iPhone :-)

My biggest 2 reasons for moving from Windows Mobile to S60 were ease of use and the better web browser. I’m moving to the iPhone for the same reasons! (Plus I get a keyboard again instead of a keypad – although the N95 has a great keypad, T9 is not for me).
