Wowza! Amazon.com must have missed the ‘this phone is new’ memo! Mike at SymbianAddict has discovered that the online retailer is listing the brand spanking-new Nokia N78 with U.S. 3G (850/1900MHz) for a bargain $440, a full $100 discount off Nokia’s official asking price!
While I still think the N78 isn’t the best looking device on the market, at $440 unlocked/unbranded, it’s certainly the best priced. You’re getting support for AT&T’s expansive 3G network, with lightning fast HSDPA data speeds. You also get a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and Carl Zeiss optics and a built-in GPS receiver to automatically record the location in those photos.
The handset also offers a microSD card slot for extra storage and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support for stereo headsets. S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 is also on board, offering tons of little fixes and updates here and there.
