Nseries Widget Brings Video Support

The Nseries Sports Tracker widget or as Nokia officially likes to call it “Maps + Photography” widget has been recently updated to bring Video support. To those of you who don’t know it, this widget is linked to your Sports Tracker account and fetches your recent routes as well as the images and the videos that you just took with Sports Tracker, and shows them on a map.

The widget can be embedded on your sites like Faceboo, Blogger, NetVibes… and if your blog or platform doesn’t seem to be supported, just click on the Blogger one, and copy the html code, that should work everywhere mostly. This should allow your friends to track your exercise paths, as well as the media that you take during these activities.

The video support caused the widget to be named “Maps + Photography + Video” which is such a shame. Nokia has some work to do to get a decent name for their services: neither the widget nor the Sports Tracker application have a good name, and we all know that a good name is part of a good marketing.

In any case, you can grab the new widget, try it for yourself and tell us what you think. I will be putting it through its paces tomorrow.
