As there wasn't any comments allowed on your article today about the Pico Projector, I will post here. I too am getting one of these to trial soon, so looking forward to having a workout with it.

"Imagine loading your N96 up with movies (16GB of internal space is PLENTY) and then going, well, anywhere, and watching those movies with a group of friends?"

And what would you do for audio?

I could see this possibly being used for business... MAYBE. I can't imagine the contrast/brightness/resolution would be good for much of anything though. And I can't imagine getting a group of friends together, finding a blank wall somewhere and plopping down to watch a movie, when a plain TV would probably end up being better. (picture, sound, seating arrangements, etc. How many blank walls have comfortable seating lined up around them?)

Very very interesting concept, I very much prefer this to a built-in projector, much less taxing on battery life + you get to navigate your phone about without interrupting the projection (which you certainly can't do if you've had the projector built into the phone)!
