Where Is Anssi???
I have just received one of the most intriguing emails from the WOMWorld team. The email’s subject is “Have you seen this man?” which left me kind of puzzled. Opening the email didn’t help since it only contained one sentence: “We had this wanted poster posted to us this week… thought you or your community might be able to help out? ;)”.
The good part is that there was an image, attached with the email. Here it is:
Quite intriguing, I tell you. This looks like a new marketing campaign by Nokia and WomWorld, and promises to be very interesting. From the picture, you can see that Anssi is holding a phone in landscape mode, and I either sniff an N81 with N-Gage or an N96 with video/tv/N-Gage. Hm.
So what do you think? Have you seen Anssi? Did he go missing after he started playing N-Gage and got addicted to it? Did he take his N96 and go watch TV in the Himalaya? Will Dirk Dagger come to the rescue and find him? Or will it be Stavros ‘ new mission, mapping his way while following Anssi and trying to catch him? Edit: Did someone kidnap him to steal his phone? Is he being held as a hostage? I wonder. What do you think?
Judging by the haircut and vacant expression in second picture, he is probably stealing cars from round my way..

Thought that this is some clever way to market GPS and photos but couldn’t find any traces from the EXIF
and why is he in a queue to use a public telephone?
I simply can’t focus on Anssi in that photo. I am way too intrigued by the pose of the 2 characters behind (in front of?) him.

Oh, no he is trying to spread the deadly N virus from his phone into the public phone.
The N virus is said to be causing:
- Users of Nokia phones to stay up till late at nights playing games.
- Walking around trying to draw figures on a map.
- Listening music while walking in the streets (very dangerous when not paying attention in the traffic).
- Taking pictures of every interesting and not interesting things.
- Leading people to send their music via inbuilt FM-transmitter to the frequency that the police uses for communication.
(All above statements are meant as a joke)
If it really is a campaign it is interesting how they make it.
(I remember the Psiloc What! which also was quite amusing).

It’s a slow sunday evening and I decided to get back into detective mode and carry on with this whole Anssi adventure. It turns out Anssi Makela is a Nokia employee and is pretty well known around the blogsphere. There’s also hints(”you are absolutely right… but there is more which I won’t reveal just yet
stay tuned hehehehe “) at this whole campaign from 2 months back, so this could be pretty big.
I was thinking that something was seriously wrong when people started IM’g me asking me if I knew where Anssi was. Lol this is what happens when you don’t have internet access for a week… I actually took it more seriously than what it was!
