  • Dear Rita,
A really interesting article. You aren't the only one who likes to see a 'clean' phone. I do it too. Its just a little bit irritating to have a dirty phone around!

Btw I have just posted an article on my blog about an accessory that Nokia or any accessories manufacturer should now come out with. I hope you find it worth your interest!

Thanks for posting this, I had totally forgotten that I had one.

I usually use wet tissues of some kind to first wipe my laptop and then my mobile. (First my laptop because it is quite wet when you first take out the tissue)

With a screenprotector on my mobile my screen won't take damage of it either.
However there will be some stains from the wet tissue but then wiping it over with a cloth makes it shiny as new.
  • Rita, they'll send you a new cleaning cloth to keep with you if they have got any spare ones. They are really kind you know. Plus, they love you, that's why they sent you a T-shirt too. So I'm sure they'll do their best to send you a new cloth.

I use a FELLOWES PERFECT CLEAN cloth, I bought it in OfficeMax.

First I spray a little bit of windex in a kitchen paper (BOUNTY) and I clean the screen and everything, then with the FELLOWES cloth I clean the windex, my N95 is like new everytime I do that, and smells fresh also.

I dont know if thr E90 inner screen will allow windex, because is not covered like in N82 and N95-4

Like you see Im a maniac too, and when someone asks if they can see my phone I say ''dont put the fingers on the sceen''
  • I still have that little swatch of fabric that came with my N90! Is this of the same material composition?

I think its a good idea to clean our phones everyday ;) coz studies shows that cell phones are more germ-infested than any other stuff around us. Filthier than the bottom of the shoe, toilet seat etc... Can you believe it?

nice post Rita (am a fan btw:)..
I searched for this towel in my E90 box & didnt find one !
is it possible that it was not included in the 1st versions as i had mine almost 1 year back ?

could you be so kind to explain "haz" for non-native english speakers? :-)
  • Akira
Use a polypropylene invisible tape to take out your fingerprint.

"I can haz" == "can I have" when you translate from lolcat to english.
  • Now Rita, if you hang on to that E90 cloth- how will the next reviewer know how utterly fantastic this little bit of fabric is (a point which I COMPLETELY agree with, btw)? This way- more people can write about it and hopefully Nokia will consider this an item to be included with all new devices. ;)
  • WOW, lots of cleaning suggestions in here :) i'll make sure I check those that I can and see which are the best, though I believe the cleaning clothe is a bit more practical to carry around at all times than a Windex for example ;)

    Pseudofinn,
That does make sense, but I like it :( *snif*

Unless you use the cleaning cloth with dedication you will end up with a scratched screen from the keyboard with the original E90. Mine is almost unusable and the local supplier wont change it under warranty.

My 4 day old E90 just had it's first wipe down with the supplied chamois! :)

I just had a flick through the user's manual and couldn't find any mentions of it, not even in the care section. So I googled and found this page! :D
  • Hehe Faz, yes we cover stuff that the manual doesn't ;)
