Nokia PC Suite v7.0.7.0 Now Available
For those of us sticking with the plain-jane vanilla version of the Nokia PC Suite, heads up, there’s an update! I’m not sure what all new features are gained, other than that it now shows battery and signal strength for the connected phone, which is very nice, and that some of the more recent desktop applications from the Beta Labs have been integrated into this new version.
You can download it here, from the official PC Suite pages. I’ve been using this version for a few weeks now and haven’t had any issues with stability or Bluetooth connections. Previous versions of PC Suite, in my experience, had issues managing Bluetooth connections with handsets, specifically when there are multiple handsets in range.

Shame the battery meter is only for Nokia handsets with Feature Pack 2 like the N78, and N96. I Beta tested this Version of PC Suite, and it still has some bugs which have not been fixed. I would imagine, there will be another version soon.
What I really don’t understand is why doesn’t Nokia support the N-series PC Suite with more integration of their other applications?
I’ve tried several other PC suite “Plugins” if you can call them that, but because of the differences in PC suite versions it is not available for users of N-series PC Suite, which really is a shame.
Why promote the N-series one when the ordinary one is much more customizable.
As a power user I do want extra functionalities, but I also want to have that experience more like from out-of-the-box.
That is unfortunately not true for the N-series PC Suite.
I do however feel that it is neat to have own shortcuts there and the user interface is more nice looking.
Unfortunately that doesn’t make up for the lack of functionalities offered by this particular version.
N-series PC Suite is getting uninstalled and in comes the ordinary PC Suite
its a wonderful application
for my nokia 6600… this pc suit doesn’t work,
i have used bluetooth IVT blue soleil for the connection,
whats the problem.???..is there any differnt bluetooth on nokia 6600 with IVT buesoleil??
Whatever new “features” that are added, Nokia always seems to take one step back by breaking some others. I have 7.0.8.2, which is unable to resolve messages into names of people. The older 6.x version was able to do that. I’d stay away from upgrading, until Nokia fixes those bugs. Don;t know what else will break with these versions. All I know is that it is a royal pain right now, not being able to resolve phone numbers into names.

[...] to be blindly missing from the Nokia Ovi Suite is PIM funcationality. As the vanilla PC Suite has recently received a number of messaging and PIM integrations, those seem to be absent in the Ovi Suite, which is frustrating. I also noticed that Files on Ovi [...]
