well after having one a few days i can say i’m impressed and also pi$$ed at it……….

you all know the good points so i’ll just quote the bad, battery life, poor, 6 hours etc on sat nav, i drive a 9 hour shift, so need a charger, not a great problem but….

music playback, speakers on the back, so you turn the phone over, music stops, like doh!

sat nav, no maps unless you pay an extra 49.95e, like why bother at all…

no decent tariff, if you get an iphone you get unlimited data for email etc, on this phone nothing, nada, rather short-sighted of all the operators

stupid stupid stupid non standard usb connector…

other than that, phones a gem.

US 3g doesnt matter to me since i only like to use wifi when its available. i gotta cut expenses somewhere. smaller callphone bill helps. i cant believe you think the design sucks. it could be better but it still looks great.

I’ve had one for about a week and my observations are:

1) It is actually considerably smaller than the pictures denote
2) Picture quality is surperb
3) Links to home braodband easily
4) A distinct lack of information, even the full userguide was missing from the samsung official site despite the quickstart guide pointing users towards samsungmobiles.com (but available elsewhere).
5) Pitifully few games available and you’d think that basics such as Tetris/Pacman/space invaders would be available.

The Samsung i8510 seems to have everything plus it looks amazing… cant believe it even has fifa pre installed. Plus my phones camera is rubbish at the min so looking forward to upgrading from 3.2 to 8
