ZeeMote Adds Gameloft, Native Coming Soon?
I’ve told you about ZeeMote here before - they’ve got a neat little Bluetooth gaming controller that currently works with a select few mobile games such as Sonic the Hedgehog. I was able to test the controller, which is about the size of 3 cigarette lighters taped together, back at the Evening with S60 in Boston earlier this year, and walked away impressed.
Recently, the company signed Gameloft on, with compatibility with upcoming titles from Gameloft being able to use the Zeemote Bluetooth gaming controller. While the company hasn’t released any official statement, I’m crossing my fingers that they’re able to somehow release a driver for S60v3 handsets, so that you could use the Zeemote natively with any game or application on your phone. Paired with TV-Out on handsets such as the N95 or N82, the Zeemote Bluetooth gaming controller would make for a *killer* mobile gaming solution, don’t you think?
Here’s a quick video of the thing in action.

i too had the chance to test out this device at evening with s60 boston.
i felt like it brought phone gaming experience to the next level since i didn’t have to deal with the keypad as the control pad, which i tend to screw up by pressing wrong buttons with my fat fingers.
