Yes, that’s right. Those incredibly fun events known around the world as ‘An Evening With S60′ are still rocking, with the next one coming back to the beginnings in New York City. September 17th, geeks throughout the city are invited to descend upon the Nokia Flagship Store at 5 E 57th Street, NY 10022. The event is free, but you do need to register so that they can have a good idea of how many people to expect.
If you haven’t been to an Evening with S60 event before, I really can’t recommend it more. It’s an evening of geekery, where you can chat with Nokians and S60 people, play with the latest handsets, and there’s usually food and drink, as well. They hold a giveaway at the end of the night, and it’s really just a grand time. I’ve been to both the Chicago and the Boston events, though unfortunately it doesn’t look like I’m going to make it to this one in New York.
Also, I’m EXTREMELY happy to announce the re-introduction of the Symbian-Guru Events Calendar. This is a public Google calendar that you can subscribe to and stay up to date with the latest mobile and Nokia-related events and happenings around the world. It’s rather sparse at the moment (basically, it only lists the Evening with S60), but I’ll be populating it over the next few days, so it’s definitely something you’ll want to keep an eye on. We’ll also be highlighting a few options for you to keep track of the calendar, so stay tuned.
