When I first got ahold of the E66, and now have the E71 NAM, the first thing I knew I had to do was get rid of those awful grey icons. Unfortunately, as I’m sure most of you have discovered, these are now the ‘default’ icons (at least on these two Eseries handsets), which means you’re stuck with custom icons, most of which I personally don’t care for.
Enter Flahorn. This guy is one of the many many S60v3 Themers, and he’s taken the time to create an icon pack modeled after the good old S60v3 default icons, for other themers to use. You cannot simply install the Flahorn icon pack onto your phone, it must be used in a theme, so I set out to find as many great Flahorn-icon’d themes as I could, and asked you to do the same.
Thanks to reader (and blogger) Eduardo over at the E71Blog.com, we now have a selection of 7 themes that he’s painstakingly installed on his E71 to verify that the icons are indeed changed. You can head over here to see the full selection, which he says he found in various forums. I am also glad to see that he enjoyed my method of organizing his S60 menu, and has modeled his after my logic.
Out of the 7 themes showcased, the two that I like the best (and will be using on my E71 NAM) are ‘ilikediswayFP1‘
and ‘Symbian OS 9x‘
I rather like the dark/light contrast for my two Active Standby modes, and have already changed the folders for my Nav and Office folders so that they look right.

Also, to P@sco, Taieb, Pizero, and any other themers who may be reading Symbian-Guru, PLEASE start using the Flahorn icons more, so that those of us with the E71/E66 can have decent looking icons and not be stuck with these awful grey things.
