Hot Summer Freebies And Discounts
In case you didn’t notice, it’s the summer, the season of sun shine, beach sand sweat, and sometimes hot deals. So if you’re worried about your wallet being a bit stressed during the summer season, then you might want to take a look at these 2 hot deals that we’ve snatched for you.
The first one won’t cost you a dime, yes, it’s all freebies! This is a great deal from the folks over at SymbianGear and is a rundown of 10 days – 10 free applications series. They are already down to day 3, and I’m pretty pissed that I missed the MSDict giveaway at day 1. But fear not, there are still some very nice software up there for grabs, like today’s Aces Texas Holdem, as well as Advanced Device Lock, X-Plore (my favorite file manager), Advanced Brain Trainer and Handy Alarm. Details on how to grab the software are on this page.
The second one comes to us courtesy of our friends at Astraware, who have a nice summer discount going till the 17th of August on some of their games. Four of their five Symbian (S60 and UIQ) games are on sale, with Solitaire and Boardgames going down 50% (from 19.95$ to 9.95$), and Westward and Hidden Expedition: Titanic going down 25% (from 19.95$ to 14.95$). We have already reviewed Boardgames and HE: Titanic here on Symbian-Guru, and we have Westward, Solitaire and Big Box of Bloxx reviews lined up soon. As for the summer discount, I’d jump on the Boardgames deal if I were you.
Also remember that if you don’t get to grab these software and games during the discount time, you can still buy them over at our Symbian-Guru store.

thanks for the heads up on this one!
This is some great summer news. And indeed it is pretty sad to have missed MSDICT :(
MSDict would be nice.
It seems a bit bloated in the latest version (5.0)
It is a bit cool with audio dictionary, but what use is it when it only comes with English audio?
Most people know English and if you do have dictionaries for foreign languages you want to hear that language.
In this aspect the Talking Dictionaries by HNHSoft are still better.
It is java versions and starts up a bit slow but once started they are very nice and lets you listen to translated phrases.
Anyway thanks a lot for these news >_<
Wow, great deals, thanks.
hi.
where do i find the code to enter in the redeem voucher? thanks!
Hi, I’m avign problems with the purchace of the Advanced Lock
I’ve already registered, and I insert the discount code with no problem, but they are asking me for the DeviceId, firt I thought it was the IMEI, and I wrought it, first only numbers and then with slashes but they mention the following “One ore more Fields are required and should not left blank.” then I tried with the Model Nokia N95 (19.01) but the same problem, can anybody help me?
Hi Richy,

This is the first time I have ‘bought’ a mobile software. Hopefully, free give-aways like this will encourage people like me to actually buy software in the future, now that I see how easy it is.
