In an odd turn of events, over at the Nokia Beta Labs, they’ve announced another update to Nokia Chat. While you’d expect this would add support for S60v3 Feature Pack 2 devices such as the N78 and N96, Nokia has other plans. I believe this is the first time an application on the Beta Labs has come out with support for older handsets. In this case, Nokia Chat is now available for non-Feature Pack 1 devices such as the wildly popular Nokia N73, E61(i), and others. Personally, I think this is awesome, and I’m glad to see Nokia pushing Nokia Chat even further across its portfolio.
