One need to manually input the ip, gateway ect settings. So, its nearly impossible to use at hot spots. I will give this one a try! From what I've seen there's not many places near my town where there are WeFi accesspoints.

Whereas FON depends on users sharing their wifi network WeFi seems to be using public hotspots in addition.
(Correct me if I'm wrong).
Haven't been testing it so I don't know if it works.
However looking interesting.
