If you’re reading this post, I’m completely disconnected from the internet, voluntarily, on a camping trip for the weekend. I should have a good handful of pics posted on Share on Ovi when I get back, so you’ll have to wait till then. In the meantime, I’ve got a few updates that I wanted to share with everyone, both about me and Symbian-Guru:
As of September 6th, I’ll no longer be working at Nokia on the S60 Ambassadors team. I’ve had a great time working with everyone at the S60 Ambassadors program, and really believe that they are starting something that can be really cool. However, right now it’s a better time for me to focus on Symbian-Guru and growing the community that Dotsisx and I have built here. We have some *really* cool stuff planned for the site this fall, and I can’t wait for it all to be ready to share with you guys.
For me, I’m putting a renewed focus on my own personal motto that ‘technology should enrich and enable real life.’ I’m going to be working hard to be more mobile, more often, as evidenced by Mobile with the Guru. I’m going to be exploring more ways that I can use my phone as a tool to help me really unplug from my office, and truly work from anywhere.
Of course, I’ll be sharing these explorations with you guys as much as possible. We’ll still cover news here on Symbian-Guru, but you can expect to see a bigger emphasis on actually using your phone, as well as reviews of various applications that can make your phone an even more powerful tool. We’ve brought PseudoFinn on board, and he’s one fella that I know uses the crap out of his phone, so I’m anxious for him to share his real life experiences here, as well.
If there’s anything that you guys (and girls) would like to see attempted, or reviewed, please don’t hesitate to let us know. You can always reach us through the Contact Form, but you can also email any of us directly at Guru/Dotsisx/PseudoFinn (at) Symbian-Guru.com. As always, we really appreciate you guys coming back and reading and leaving comments and really joining in the community here, and can’t wait to build that even further.
