Personally, I don’t much get into mobile instant messaging. The apps are limited, and most people I chat with don’t understand that conversations are different when mobile. However, I know that alot of you are fiends about it, and thus I wanted to let you know that eBuddy has now added the ability to login to Facebook Chat from your phone, opening up the options for who you can talk with while mobile.

This news comes shortly after K Flyer at Mobile Royale followed up my Developer Challenge with his own, asking for a Facebook Chat client for S60. It appears as though eBuddy is a java app, which will likely be just as disappointing to you as it was to me. Also disappointing is that my Nokia E90 is not listed as being compatible, though I did not try to download anyways.

If you want to tie into Facebook Chat, but not on your phone, I would highly recommend Digsby. I use it on my PC and it allows me to have a single, minimal interface for MSN, AIM, Gtalk, Nokia Chat, and Facebook. If I could pull in Skype, I’d be in heaven.
