There are a ton of mobile web portals out there, as I’m sure you already know. One of our favorites, however, is Keytoss. We introduced you to this great little site back in August, and we just got word that there’s already been an awesome new feature added! Keytoss now includes a user-customisable mobilization module, allowing you to quickly access any website on the internet using your choice of four popular mobilization services.
If you’re already registered for Keytoss (it’s free, so why not), then you can simply go to the customization page and pull up the modules area. This is where you’ll find the new mobilization module, which you can, obviously, position anywhere you’d like on your homescreen. In the options, you can choose whether this handy little plugin uses Google Mobile, Mowser, Skweezer, or Phonifier to shrink down your favorite sites and serve them up, optimized for your phone. You can also choose whether images are resized, or if you want to be asked each time.
This is a fantastic addition to an already great mobile portal. One use for Keytoss that I think is easily overlooked is a bookmark locker. You can add your own personal links easily, and thanks to the new mobilization feature, you can also decide whether the bookmark is automatically mobilized when you access it through Keytoss. Now, there’s no reason to synchronize your phone’s bookmarks with your computer. When you get a new phone, the only bookmark you really need is Keytoss, and everything else is right there when you need it.
Overall, we’re huge fans of Keytoss, so if you haven’t checked it out, you really should. It’s free, so you’ve got nothing to lose!
