I used to be a fan of Nokia phones, but over the years their operating system has been slow, crashed occasionally and just isn't as good as other solutions out there. I will be buying the iPhone next as the technology and size of the phone is amazing.

I use a whole-body Invisible Shield on my N82 and it's pretty much bulletproof. I really do think it's the best protection for it by offering scratch resistance without adding bulk. After about 6 months, it's starts to get kind of grungy (probably because I didn't apply it well) but I just use a knife to tear a hole in it and mail it in for a replacement. It's a bit dirty, but it does the job.

Web Design Kent

Additionally if the mobile phone holder which is on the table has a rough surface i.e plastic, then it is bound to pick up scratches when the phone were to vibrate.

Also he has removed the protective covering at the back of the phone. (the stickers) In that case there are bound to be a few scratches there.

About that cavity near the 'call' button.... I don't know how it came to be... my older N82 had it too.

I had 3 of the N82's sended back because of a gap in the housing on the left on the screen, through wich you could see the usb port. I decided to go for the n95, because the N82 is realy cheap in building quality, check google "gap N82" and before you ever buy it, check the housing, be carefull for that gap,(collects dust and moist easy, check link for a picture)

I bought an n82 after my k800i in June this year. Now, only 5 months later, there are already scratches on the screen. An no, I ndon't have any keys in my pocket while having the mobile phone in it at the same time.

My k800i was still great after 2 years, just the paint disappeared from the camera cover.

I think this is rather bad from Nokia. Also I have the feeling the navigation button is getting worse.

I have had my titanium N82 since January. I did buy one of those crystal cases for it but that turned out to be an annoying waste of time and money for about a month. It has spent all its time in my pocket (no keys or change) and it is still great. There are a few specks of dust under the front video cam and I have finally got round to buying some screen protectors, but I still regularly watch videos on it with crystal clear clarity. Keypad fine, jacks fine, solid and shiny even after being dragged along the road several times after getting out the car and forgetting to take it with me and the headset that I still have in my ears.
