In case you’ve already forgotten, Nokia’s first ever OpenLab event was held last week onsite in Helsinki, Finland. The event brought over 3 dozen social and mobile enthusiasts together to talk about, well, whatever. The official definition, from the OpenLab08 site, says the event is the first of its kind hosted by Nokia, where an invited set of social media participants from bloggers to forum members and everyone in between will be taking part in workshops that will focus on the future of mobile and co-creation of media. The event’s benchmarks of learning for both the attendees and Nokia include how social interactions and technological interactivity affect us.
Sounds intense, and judging by the plethora of media created during the event, it certainly was. Unfortunately, yours truly was unable to attend the event, but I’ve been pouring through the videos, and if you’re interested at all in social media and its implications and uses, I would highly recommend you set aside an afternoon to enjoy the footage. Glenn over at SymbianOne has taken the liberty of gathering it all together for you, and added some of his own thoughts, as well.
Also, if you’re constantly mobile, you can add this link to your S60 Podcasting application to get the video feeds downloaded onto your phone, so you can keep up on the go! (Thanks to NokiAAddict for the tip)
