SymbianPlanet Themes Factor Contest
If you love themes, then this post should interest you. Dockside and Mauikek over at SymbianPlanet have organized a new theme contest, only for Italian themers, called Themes Factor. They’ve asked me to serve on the jury, to help judge the themes and vote on a winner, so I’m rather pumped.
The entrants include: Bongoman, Belial, Cuff, Dipo, Fabio, Emilianoxxx, Giambi, Gnokkia, Ivanov, Jendell, Lara, LeoDaVi, Level49, LucaP, Niimai, NumberSix, PiZero, Rugge, Signo, Toioski, Travis, Udeste, and Verve. These are all independent themers, and I’m really excited to be able to see what they come up with!
There’s a few rules to the contest, to keep things organized:
1. The theme submitted must be new, and will be based on a chosen subject.
2. Themers can request a copy of the SymbianPlanet theme, if desired.
3. It’s preferred that the themer use his/her own iconpack, though it’s OK to use others’, as long as you have permission.
4. Themes must be submitted by midnight on Friday the 19th of September (Italian time).
The jury (which is where I come in) will then vote, and winners will be announced on either Saturday the 20th or Sunday the 21st. First prize is a Symbian-powered cell phone (not sure what model), 2nd place will receive a Bluetooth GPS receiver, and 3rd place will receive a free Bluetooth headset.
I think this is a really cool idea, and I can’t wait to see the submissions. Rest assured, we’ll post them here on Symbian-Guru.com as soon as possible, for you to check out and enjoy.

Wow, sounds like awicked idea. You would have thought Nokia would come up with a cecent idea like this.
