Dashwire For S60 3rd Edition Announced

Dashwire has announced that its mobile integration service is graduating from Windows Mobile-only to supporting S60 3rd Edition smartphones! If you’re not familiar with Dashwire, it’s a really cool service that keeps your phone’s information in sync with an online account, allowing you to instantly and easily manage your phone from any internet browser. Dashwire is much like a mix between the Nokia Mobile Web Server and PC Suite, only fully integrated, and pretty.

Here’s a couple of screenshots of the S60 client:

The new Dashwire service for S60 3rd Edition will include a phone client that allows you to synchronize your phone manually, automatically, or even just when you’re in range of a WiFi hotspot. The application allows you to instantly access your contacts, text messages, call logs, photos, videos, even your phone’s settings, right from the internet. From the online site, you can change privacy settings or share your photos and videos with any number of online media sharing sites, such as Flickr, YouTube, and more.

The service also includes a network address book that is always available, so that you can easily manage your contacts – including messages, calls, photos, even location – right from the site. Dashwire for S60 3rd Edition will be a completely free service, though premium features might be added in the future. The closed beta for Dashwire S60 3rd Edition will open in November, on a first-come, first-served basis.
