This weekend the internet was abuzz with words spoken by Devinder Kishore, Director of Marketing for Nokia India. Kishore is quoted as stating that, ‘[Nokia] will have lot of touchscreen phones coming up, including an Nseries device very soon.’ Apparently Devinder was able to keep mum on the release date, but that it should be announced very soon, with some market availability in 2009 even.
While this is most certainly not unexpected, it’s very nice to hear that Nokia has this device on what seems to be an accelerated schedule, with a shortened announcement-to-launch time period. Also, given that the 5800 XpressMusic features a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and VGA video recording, I would fully expect an Nseries device to top that in terms of imaging and also in terms of music features.
My question to you, then, is what types of features would you like to see on an Nseries touchscreen smartphone? More interestingly, do you think that it will take the same form factor as the 5800 XpressMusic (full touchscreen with 3 buttons below) or do you think it might have hardware buttons, as well?
