If you’re a heavy scheduler, there’s no doubt you’ve already checked out some of the calendar replacement options for your S60-powered smartphone. We like SBSH Calendar, aka Papyrus, quite a bit, but I know quite a few readers who swear by Handy Calendar. If you haven’t made up your mind yet, you’ll be pleased to know that Handy Calendar was just updated today, up to v2.0.
A key new feature in Handy Calendar v2.0 allows you to easily cut, copy, and paste entries into different days, which is great if you have recurring appointments or if your schedule changes often. You can also use hotkeys on devices such as the E71, with a QWERTY keyboard, allowing you to perform tasks easier and faster. There are several different ways to view your schedule with Handy Calendar, including a handy Busy Bar, which gives you a glanceable idea of how busy (or free) your day is.
There is also a feature that will pull all of the birthdays from your contacts and set them up as anniversaries, which can make sure you never forget to call them.
You can download a free 14-day trial of Handy Calendar v2.0 from the Symbian-Guru store, or you can go ahead and purchase the full app for $30.
