Nokia At Open Mobile Summit In November
In the interest of keeping you posted on the various pies that Nokia has its fingers in, I stumbled across the Open Mobile Summit today, which is taking place in San Francisco, CA, in November. So, what is the Open Mobile Summit? According to their site, it’s a powerful forum bringing the entire open mobile ecosystem together under one roof. Over two information intensive days it will examine the major industry shifts and current hot topics that are defining the future of the converging industry.
Sounds great, and something that I’m glad to see Nokia a part of. Nokia EVP and CDO Mary McDowell will be speaking, chatting about how Nokia is relating to the mobile epicenter and the evolving ecosystem. Hopefully they’ll make these talks available online after the conference, as I’m sure alot of the other keynotes will be great to listen in on. Om Malick, of Giga OM, is also taking part, as well as a handful of other companies.
Also, Jerry Panagrossi, the VP of Symbian, will be leading off a discussion of the significance of an open OS, which again, should be fascinating to listen in on. I’ve added the event to the Symbian-Guru Events Calendar, as well, so that you can easily get more information or add it to your calendar if you plan to attend.
