Nokia BH-504 Bluetooth Headset Announced
In addition to the 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia announced a new Bluetooth stereo headset, the BH-504. Ranking as the kid brother to the BH-604 (which we reviewed – and loved – already), the BH-504 bring the heavily-padded goodness in a MUCH smaller package, so that you won’t be nearly as embarrassed when wearing these puppies out in public. Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support for stereo tunes is built-in, as are a set of dedicated music playback buttons, so you can easily change the track or pause the music straight from the headset.
If these operate like Nokia’s other stereo Bluetooth headsets, they’ll also automatically pause the music when a call comes in, and then gently fade it back in when you hang up, so as not to blast your eardrums. They look mighty comfortable, and I can’t wait to get my hands on a pair to really give them a spin! The BH-504s also fold up, so that they’re much easier to transport than the big old BH-604. Battery life is given as up to 7.5 hours of music playback, 9 hours of talk time, or 3.75 days (90 hours) of standby time. Not too shabby.
No price or estimated arrival date was given, annoyingly, but I would expect these to cost around the $100 range.

Hope they’ve included the possibility of using them via a wired connection!
These look sweet. Look forward to them being available.

Do these also provide an optional standard wired connection for those times when you are not allowed to use bluetooth (airplane) or one is out of juice?
Also direct charging via USB is also not supported it looks like? However does it charge using the same connector as all the new top of the line phones (aka my trusty nokia n95 for which I have an adapter to charge via USB).
I would not imagine they have the ability to function as wired headphones for those rare occasions. I’m trying to get a pair for review, so I’ll be sure to check on that.
