In addition to the 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia announced a new Bluetooth stereo headset, the BH-504. Ranking as the kid brother to the BH-604 (which we reviewed – and loved – already), the BH-504 bring the heavily-padded goodness in a MUCH smaller package, so that you won’t be nearly as embarrassed when wearing these puppies out in public. Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support for stereo tunes is built-in, as are a set of dedicated music playback buttons, so you can easily change the track or pause the music straight from the headset.
If these operate like Nokia’s other stereo Bluetooth headsets, they’ll also automatically pause the music when a call comes in, and then gently fade it back in when you hang up, so as not to blast your eardrums. They look mighty comfortable, and I can’t wait to get my hands on a pair to really give them a spin! The BH-504s also fold up, so that they’re much easier to transport than the big old BH-604. Battery life is given as up to 7.5 hours of music playback, 9 hours of talk time, or 3.75 days (90 hours) of standby time. Not too shabby.
No price or estimated arrival date was given, annoyingly, but I would expect these to cost around the $100 range.
