S60 Theme Maker Showcase: DhanuSaud

S60 Theme Maker Showcase: DhanuSaud

Every Friday morning, we used to bring you Friday Fun to wish you a nice weekend. We’re putting that on hiatus for a short while, as we explore a new weekly series of posts. We all love our devices, we all love how they look, but how about what we actually see on our screen? Well, you must know by now that I am a themes nut, so I decided to present to you my favorite theme makers, or the guys and girls that make me love to look at my screen each day. Some of them are very well known, others are not, so let’s take a moment to appreciate their work, since all of them offer it for free.

The first theme maker I decided to present is my current favorite, DhanuSaud whom you can find at his official blog. Dhanu is relatively new to this whole theme making scene, but his work is brilliant with simplicity and elegance. It’s also bug-free. Most of the time, he uses SVG backgrounds for his themes, which means that they work in portrait and landscape, and on all screen resolutions. He also provides each theme with a default icon pack and the Flahorn icon pack, of which I’m a big fan, since it keeps the general traits of the default icons but adds a very nice layer of graphism and 3D over it.

You can find Dhanusaud’s SVG themes here, and his QVGA themes here, and don’t forget to subscribe to his RSS feed if you like his work, that way you’re notified whenever he posts new themes. I’ll leave you with a few screenshots of my personal favorites:

Aqua v2

Aurora v3 (links to SymbianPlanet as I can’t find it on his official blog)

Dew 2

RedLove 2

  1. thanks a lot rita. by the way I removed aurora_v3 from my blog, becoz of its low quality qvga background used. also components aren't edited in nine piece mode.

may be in future i recreate it in svg.

    million thanks again.

    Best regards,
    DHS
