This is great news. I'm not interested in the N79 nor do I care if AT&T picks it up (though that would be awesome), but what excites me is that this proves that Nokia is committed to producing NAM versions of all of its Nseries phones. THAT is awesome. Regardless of carrier pickup, Nokia is cranking out NAM versions of everything now. The N96, the 5800, the N79, the N85. I couldn't be happier, since this means any future S60 phone will more than likely have a NAM counterpart, especially if it's Nseries.

Tim, 1) there is no guarantee that AT&T would get it - Nokia has other AT&T compatible phones that AT&T is not carrying 2) if they do get the N79 - AWESOME!! And they would get N79 over the N85 because N79 is significantly cheaper and.. well.. US is the land of mostly cheap phones (with couple of notable exeptions).

AT&T is getting the 6650 so that could either 1) give us hope of Nokia finally starting to crack that nut 2) mean that AT&T is not going to bother with another S60 very soon. I sure hope its the former.

Btw, sinmply converting the Euro price of 350 to US$ at todays exchange rate is probably a bit misleading as it is now cheaper to buy Nokias here than it is in Europe.
