Four-Part Video Review Of Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

We’re all waiting for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic to hit the market, to see how good it really is for ourselves. While I don’t (yet) have the 5800 XpressMusic here at CasaGuru, my bosses at MobileBurn.com do, and they’ve put together a four-part video review, showing off the various aspects of the phone. Michael (the Editor over there) has been pleasantly surprised at the 5800. After fully expecting it to be ‘a turd’ (direct quote), he’s surprised to have left his SIM card in it for the past 3 days, and not an issue.

In any case, I hope to get my hands on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic soon, and I know that Dotsisx recently had the opportunity, and will be sharing more thoughts/videos soon. For the time being, though, enjoy this four-part review from MobileBurn.com.

  1. I would like to see some video playback capabilities on this baby.
    Can't find it anywhere
  2. Kris, did you try all the videos on youtube? one would think there would be some there somewhere...

Ricky, ps. your home page often says "no comments" on a given story, whereas there actually are. Like now for this story. Also, I am not seeing any of (what I guess could be/are) the smilies etc. in comments, instead I just get a bunch of those nasty little red crosses indicating that something did not load properly (could be something with my browser I guess).
  3. @Viipottaja - yes, we're aware of the comments issue. It happens when we schedule a post to go live sometime in the future, as opposed to hitting 'publish' immediately. I'm currently in talks with the developer of the plugin to try to figure out what the issue is. In the meantime, either Rita or I have been manually re-publishing each post as quickly as we can. We hope to have that fixed soon, obviously.

I'll pass the request on to Michael @ MobileBurn, and see if he can't add another video. However, please remember that showing the video quality on such a high resolution display is going to look like poop when uploaded to YouTube.
  5. Well I think Nokia 5800 is best among all of these. It has Touchscreen, GPS, Nokia Maps, 3G, Wifi, 2 cameras (3MP), Video calling, 16GB storage, 640x360 screen resolution, FM Radio, Flash support browser, Voice dialling. Its just 109gm in weight and available in 3 colors.

Its also bundled with Nokia's 'Comes With Music' service which allows you to download free music for 1 year from Nokia's vast library of millions of tracks.

Definitely a great phone, there's even a fans website out there for it, see http://www.Nokie5800Forum.com
