We’ve known the Nokia 6650 was coming to AT&T for a while now, and there was even a supposed launch date of November 4th (which obviously didn’t pan out). However, Attdude, over at HowardForums, has posted his picture of the 6650 that he was able to pick up from AT&T recently, in the red wine color scheme, though silver is also available.
The Nokia 6650 features S60v3 Feature Pack 2, dual-band UMTS (850/1900MHz) with HSDPA support for high-speed data, as well as a built-in GPS receiver and 2 megapixel camera. The big selling point of this stylish clamshell is its 1500mAh battery, the same one that powers the Nokia E71 and E90. The original rumor had this phone landing in the $69.99 price point (after contract and rebate), which is pretty hot for the specs.
There’s no sign of the 6650 on AT&T’s website as of yet, but we’ll be keeping an eye out, for sure. I’ve confirmed that the Nokia 6650 is priced at $69.99 after a 2-year commitment and $50 mail-in rebate (rebate requires at least a $15/mo data plan). You can also opt to pick this thing up for $270 without a contract, which is a KILLER price for such a well-featured phone. We’ve also, thus far, confirmed that while the 6650 lacks the Nokia Download! app, it doesn’t appear to be too heavily branded. I’ll be picking up my own this week, and will have some thoughts up very soon.
