Travel Genius Tests Your Geo-Knowledge
If you have a penchant for trivia games, it’s highly likely that you’ll enjoy Travel Genius, a new game from the folks at HeroCraft. This new and highly graphical game puts your knowledge of the planet and various countries to the test, to see how much you really know about the world around you. The game itself can be played in over 5 different languages, and features a free trial to get you started.
As you can see in the video below, the gameplay is pretty simple - use the numbered grids to pinpoint the location of a landmark or country. You can either use your phone’s d-pad, or you can use the number pad, with the numbers corresponding to the squares on the grid. As you progress, the items get harder and harder, adding to the gameplay.
I played the demo on my Nokia N95-3, and it ran smoothly, with no hiccups, despite the high-quality graphics. The music gets a little annoying after a few minutes, but you can easily turn it off, if it’s bugging you. You can also check to see your accumulated Geographic IQ, which is kinda neat. Overall, if you’re a trivia nut, you’ll likely be a fan of Travel Genius. However, if you’re looking for action, you’ll likely be disappointed.
