Thanks to Gerrymoth at NokiAAdict, I’ve discovered that a new version of the must-have app, Google Maps Mobile, is out, bringing the native S60 version up to v2.3.0.9. The most notable improvement in this new version is the addition of Google’s Street View, which allows you to check out real shots of the streets you’re browsing on Google Maps Mobile.
The new version of Google Maps Mobile also offers a much faster search function, and allows you to easily check out your recent searches. To get the new version of Google Maps Mobile, simply point your phone’s web browser to http://www.google.com/gmm. See how easy it was to get the new version? Dead simple.
Unfortunately (well, not for me, but for alot of you), Street View is only available in the U.S., currently. I would imagine more countries will be added soon.
