    >mute key

the mute key is used when voice dialing a contact: push and hold it, briefly, and the “deet-dweedle-e-deep” tone is the prompt to say the name of your contact.

does magic key distinguish between short vs. longer key presses?

The program works fine even if it does it in a different way than described (maybe I have a newer version?)
I can remap all the keys as descibed in the article Rita, but not the Play to Mute one (it works so only in the Player). My fw is 300.xx.xxx
If during the next few days I manage to find the solution I’ll post it right away.

hahaha the remap from play to mute works just fine… one only had to know that the music player should be started first!

anyway, excellent work, keep it up!

The autofocus key is the T key on the E71, what do you want to remap it to?

  • redkoi

Awesome tutorial! Got everything to work perfectly. My next task is to try to correctly map out how, if possible, to quickly reply via text message to a received text message with the mute key. Any suggestions??

    Thanks.

    hello :)
    First of all, splendid job.

Secondly, I haven’t got a hacked/cracked firmware on my Nokia E71, and I get certificate error when trying to install the unsigned version.

Is there a way to sign the application or do you happen to have the signed .SIS file ?

    My e-mail is: guzelino@gmail.com

    Thanks in advance.
