You know that we’re not the only site covering Symbian and S60 around the blog scene, and as you probably know as well, we can’t help but pause every once in a while and applaud another blog that is doing a kick-ass job. Such a site is “Best of Symbian” which is dedicated to application reviews, and nothing but application reviews.
I was introduced to “Best of Symbian” a long time ago, and was instantly under the charm of a dedicated blog, since I always get a bit annoyed by the humongous amount of sparse coverage sites. “Best of Symbian” went a bit silent a while ago, but picked up its pace later and is now back at it. Their application reviews are extremely well organized, starting by the “Review Conditions” which highlight what version of the app they used and what device they installed it on, and continuing with the “Installation” process, a “First View” into it, then they go a bit specific in “Main Features” with each application’s core functionality and how it works with screenshots and all, to conclude with the “Handling”, “Weaknesses” and “Conclusion”.
“Best Of Symbian” doesn’t cover each and every application out there, but the team does an excellent job at picking the applications they write about, and of course at reviewing them. So if you want a detailed look into a software before purchasing it, pop over Best of Symbian and see if it’s been reviewed.
