Still on her vacation, Rita sends me news that StyleTap has finally released the full version of its Palm OS emulator for S60, which was previously in closed beta! Rita was in on the closed beta, and found that StyleTap had done an excellent job of making sure the experience was a good one. The application has obviously been updated a few times since her review back in August 2008, and now supports all S60v3 and S60v5 phones – that’s right, it also supports the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and the upcoming N97, with their touchscreen interfaces.
With StyleTap, you can now run any of the 30,000+ applications that are available for the Palm OS on your phone – including such medical gems as Epocrates, which I know is heavily requested. StyleTap supports most all hardware features, including screen rotation and the optical joystick on the Samsung i8510 Innov8. You can read our preview of the closed beta to get an idea of the features that were already present back then.
You can download a free 14-day trial of StyleTap for S60 from their website, or you can purchase a full copy for $49.95.
