Just in time for Valentine’s Day,we’ve gathered together a selection of themes to help you celebrate the occasion in style. While some of these are admittedly rather girly, we do have a couple that are slightly more masculine. All of these themes are free to download and use, created by members of the great S60 theming community.
First up, PiZero has put together a great theme, complete with red and pink hearts and those Flahorn icons we love so much! The Valentine 09 theme is compatible with both S60v3 and S60v5 phones, which basically includes anything that’s hit the market since the N72. There is a default icon version, in case you have the 5800 XpressMusic, with its S60v5 Touch icons, as well.
Next, with a bit more of a manly flare, is Valentine, by Andelino. This one has a sweet background graphic, and uses a new black and red ‘candy’ icon set. It also has more than 300 3rd party application icons, for a completely themed look.
If Andelino’s Valentine theme isn’t masculine enough, you could also use NaHiD’s VVN theme, which isn’t specifically Valentine’s related, but at least it’s red, for the holiday. This one comes in default or S60 Touch icons, and looks great, for sure.
For the female S60 enthusiast, themer Jimmy has put together his Happy Valentine’s theme, which goes for the purple look, and also includes those beautiful S60 Touch icons that we love so much.
If none of these really strike your fancy, then rest easy – PiZero has put together quite the creative offer for this Valentine’s day - a custom theme for you and your special someone! Simply provide a photograph or other image, along with a personal message that you would like included, and PiZero will put together a special theme, returned within 48 hours. Pricing is only 4.99 EUR (US$6.43), which isn’t bad. You can get more details here.
Also, if you live in the UK, Nokia wants to help you spread the word with its Nokia Cupid setup. You can send a free, anonymous SMS to that special someone, straight through the website. You can even create it ahead of Valentine’s Day (like, right now) and your sentimental message will be delivered automatically on the 14th. Great idea, though I wish it were available in the U.S.
