Despite having its own mobile operating system, Google does a great job of bringing cool features and applications to all mobile phones. Today’s example is called Latitude, and it’s integrated into the already popular Google Maps Mobile. Latitude allows you to share your location with your friends, through Google Maps Mobile. There are also fine-tuned privacy controls, so that you can control who sees your location, and how accurately they can pinpoint your location.
With Google Latitude, not only can you see where your friends are located, but you can also communicate with them easily, through SMS, Gmail, or even Gtalk chat. According to the Google Mobile Blog, Latitude is available today in over 27 countries, so you can share your location with just about any friend, no matter where they live!
You can download Google Maps Mobile with Latitude for your S60 phone by going to http://www.Google.com/gmm from your phone’s web browser. Note that Google Maps Mobile will use your phone’s data connection, and it’s recommended that you have an unlimited data plan.
